Venturimeter & Orifice Meter Test Rig

It consists of two pipelines connected to a manifold, one pipeline is for Venturi and other is for Orifice. The pressure tapings from venture and orifice(connected in parallel) are used to measure the pressure difference.

Pressure and Vacuum gauges are connected on delivery and suction side of pump for the purpose of measurement. The flow rate of water is measured using measuring tank and Digital Timer provided in our Orifice Meter Apparatus.

  • Pump : ½ HP Centrifugal Pump.
  • AC Motor : ½ HP 230V AC.
  • Supply Tank : 120 Ltrs. Made of MS with FRP Lining.
  • Measuring tank : 40 Ltrs. Made of MS with FRP Lining and fitted with piezo meter tube & scale.
  • Piping & Fittings : GI/PVC with necessary Valves.
  • Fitted with U-Manometer with Mercury.
  • Control panel : 1HP DOL Starter.
  • Digital Timer : MCB Load and Line Indicator.

Utilities Required:

  • Electric supply Provide : 230 +/-10 VAC, 50 Hz, Single phase
  • Electric supply with proper earthing. (Neutral . Earth voltage less than 5 VAC.)
  • 5A,Three pin socket with switch for pump.
  • Water supply Tap water connection ½. BSP
