Ground Water Flow Apparatus
To demonstrate hydrological principles of ground water flow and application of the flow to certain engineering constructions. Square fibreglass sand tank on epoxy painted steel frame. Two horizontal water inlet pipe diffusers and wire mesh at both ends of the sand tank. Two vertical outlet wells interior to the inlet diffusers. Inlet and outlet are controlled by valves for various water flows tables and flow rates. Nineteen tappings with special plastic filter at the base of the tank arranged in orthogonal axes; connected to a manometer at the side of the tank.
